Where do they held, usually?
A) The answer is simple, Istanbul. In Istanbul, there are lots of exhibition centers; but two of them are preferred for international events in general: TUYAP in Buyukcekmece (Büyükçekmece) and CNREXPO in Bakirkoy (Bakırköy). Both of these districts are in European side. They were really close to Ataturk Airport; but the airport was closed. You can fly to Istanbul Airport where is in European side as well or Sabiha Gokcen Airport where is in the other side.
~ If you find a flight to Sabiha Gokcen Airport with a low price, that's okay. Because there are different transfer alternatives, even if you book a hotel in European side. Let us to share a few of them:
i) You can go to Taksim directly with buses of "Havabus" company.
ii) If you get on the IETT bus (its number is 16S and it connects to Uzuncayir Station of Metrobus), then you can arrive to Beylikduzu for TUYAP with Metrobus (34G).
iii) If you get on the IETT bus (its number is 132H and it connects to Pendik Station of Marmaray), then you can arrive to European side by Marmaray.
~ If you fly to Istanbul Airport, you can save your time.
i) You can prefer buses of "Havaist" company. IST-2 is for TUYAP and IST-4 is for Bakirkoy.
ii) If you get on the IETT bus (H4), it connects to Ataturk Airport where close to CNREXPO.
ps: You can need to walk or take a taxi for some of these options.
B) Following Istanbul, most of other international exhibitions are held in Izmir. One of the centers in Izmir, Fuar Izmir is very popular and it close to Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport. There is a fast and cheap option also. When you get on IZBAN (train line), you have'to get off in Semt Garaji Station to get in ESHOT Bus (610) that connects to the fair area.
C) If you decide to another exhibition in somewhere else, please search the city in our blog or don't hesitate to contact with us by Contact Form.
2. Some Suggestions & Tips
A) When you arrive to Turkey, you will need some Turkish Lira. At the first step, you can exchange your money in the exchange offices in the airport. Then, you can exchange in the banks, exchange offices, and in your hotel. Our suggestion is banks, and if you can find a state-owned bank which are Ziraat and Halk, it's going to be better for you. Also you can research the rates and commissions in your country.
B) There's a negative term and it calls by "hanutculuk". A dictionary says that "A person who brings customers to stores for shopping to take commission from storekeepers" for "hanutcu". If you visit Beyoglu or Istiklal, when someone tries to do it, don't go with him/her.
C) You should arrange your airport transfer especially in Istanbul. Feel free to ask your hotel, exhibition organisation company or your potential business partners.
