Some Tips for Travel from India to Turkey

The new destination of Indian tourists in the last few years has been Turkey. With almost every budget, it is possible to make a holiday in Turkey, including splendid weddings in luxury hotels. If you intend to come to Turkey from India for a nice holiday or if you are invited to an Indian wedding here, we suggest that you read the tips in our content.

If you are invited to a wedding, this will be possible in Antalya, Istanbul or an area in the coastal Aegean region. There are direct flights between India and Turkey, but not to every city. So you may have to fly domestic at least once. Turkish Airlines have direct flights from Indra Gandhi International Airport and Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport to Istanbul Airport for example. Also you can research other airlines such as Emirates or Qatar that have connecting flights; but I guess they won't be cheaper than direct flights.

Diplomatic passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey and to remain in Turkey for a period of up to 30 days. You can visit evisa.gov.tr to get an e-visa and if you've a valid visa for Schengen Area or United States, United Kingdom, or Ireland.

It should be known that there will be no problem with food. In Turkish cuisine, the place of spices is important, even if they are not as much as Indian cuisine. Meat dishes such as fish, chicken and turkey can also be found easily. Chicken meat can be used in many Turkish kebabs like doner (döner) for example.

The Turks will do their best to help tourists in the field of language, but we can't claim that they all speak fluent English. You can have some important notes (address information, basic questions etc.) with you in Turkish or you can obtain an online translation program.

All cities have different budget accommodation options. We recommend that you should pay attention to the opportunities they offer when you plan your trip.

If you want to have a wedding in Turkey, do not make a deal with the companies that come to you in search engines. Put your plan on the timeline. First select the city and then look at the hotels in that city. Make a list of hotels and contact them one by one.

Have a nice trip...
