Cop Sis Time

Izmir, Aydin and Mugla are among the destinations frequently preferred especially during the summer season. Cesme, Kusadasi, Didim, Bodrum, Marmaris, and other popular places are districts of these cities. If you rent a car or hire a driver, and if your route is around Selcuk and Kusadasi, you can eat your lunch or dinner in Ortaklar.

Ortaklar is also a district of Aydin where close to Selcuk and Kusadasi. The district is famous for its local cuisine and hosts many restaurants. Cop sis (çöp şiş) is a famous kebab around the region and made of marinated leg of sheep (or lamb) for at least one day.

Food presentation and side dishes may be different in restaurants. If you decide to visit there, "Somuncu Baba" is good option. First of all, they serve a traditional hot bread with butter and a local cheese. Then, salads and roasted peppers, tomatoes and onions are served. At this point, you can feel full. Then, the main dish, which you see in the photo, is served. Ayran is a delicious and hearty beverage for cop sis.
